THE ART OF THE COUNSELOR
-THE ART OF THE COUNSELOR-
In time to listen, He hears everything
sees everything, and speaks nothing.
In time to speak, He says the right
and never the wrong.
In time to judge, He uses his heart
more than his mind.
In time to decide, He uses his mind
more than his heart
He commands without force
convinces wtihout argument
and clarifies without sermons.
He attracts without flattery
Be friends without familiarity
and consoles without pity
To the helpless, He is a motivating
force not a crutch.
To the lost, He is a sign post not
the road.
